WARNING Prop 65VELCRO® Brand HI-AIR® are fire-retardant hook and loop fasteners that are made of nylon and Nomex® FR yarns and are certified to FAR 25.853
These fasteners are uniquely designed to withstand extreme temperatures and are often used in power plants, chemical plants, metalworking and oil & gas require piping to carry steam, chemicals, and other high temperature and hazardous substances. Aerospace and transportation manufacturers need to protect certain high temperature components such as engines. This requires the installation of high temperature insulation that lives up to the standards of these industries. To secure insulation and liners, VELCRO® Brand Fasteners are easy to unfasten and refasten, lending well to the process of moving and replacing components. This is preferable to hardware which requires drilling holes that are difficult to line up and are vulnerable to leaks, rust or corrosion.
They are rated to withstand temperatures up to 350° F and have a temperature range of -70°F to 350°F. The hooks are made of 75% Aramid and 25% Nylon, while the loops are 100% Aramid yarn.
Standard roll size is 50 yards. The only available color is natural.
